Interesting Notes:
Tulips may have been cultivated in Persia during the 10th century and were considered a symbol of Paradise on Earth.  They attained an almost divine status and have been a topic for Persian poets since the 13th century.   

In the Netherlands, the tulip represented Life's brevity.

I'm always happy to see the beautiful, colorful TULIPS signaling the arrival of Spring .   Tulips are bulbous plants in the Lily family.   There are about 70 wild species of tulips and numerous cultivated varieties.
