Interesting Notes :
Some Lilium species are toxic to cats causing acute renal failure. Any cat suspected of licking Lily pollen on its coat or eating any part of the Lily should be immediately seen by a vet.
Some Lilium bulbs like Lilium Concolor, Lilium Dauricum, Lilium Pumilium, Lilium Rosthornii and Lilium Brownii are supposedly eaten as root vegetables in China. Warning: Do not ingest Lillies unless you know what you're doing.
Non-bitter varieties such as Lilium Lancifolium, Lilium Brownii, Lilium Davidii and Lilium Pumilium are also cultivated and used as herbal products.
LILLIES are a group of plants with large, colorful, beautiful flowers in the genus Lilium. Most Lillies are native to Europe, Asia, Japan, India and the Philippines.
Many other plants called "Lillies" (e.g. Water Lillies, Calla Lillies, Lily of the Valley, Amazon & Peruvian Lillies, etc.) are not related to the True Lillies.
